Tired of People Ignoring Your Sales Voicemails?
– “Hi there. I’m not available right now. Please leave a message and I’ll get back to you.”
– “…Um…”
This interaction, or lack thereof, is a sales leader’s worst nightmare.
That’s where sales voicemail scripts come in. They’re prompts for your BDRs and AEs to use when leaving a message and provide a more uniform, prepared, and professional delivery. This resource is full of different scripts for different scenarios like cold calling to following up a no show.
Start each voicemail by introducing yourself. For business calls, state your full name and company name and then the reason for your call. Even on personal calls, you should still say your name as it may be hard to recognize your voice if the person is getting your message while in a crowded location.
Checking your landline home voicemail is slightly different depending on the company that provides your home phone service. From the phone itself, you would usually dial a specific code. If you are checking your home voicemail from a mobile phone or another location, you usually dial your home phone number, then press a key when the voicemail picks up and enter a passcode or PIN number.
For a mobile phone, voicemail is usually in a tab inside your phone or calling app labeled Messages or Voicemail or something similar. This applies to VOIP app voicemail as well.
For CRM and calling software, there is usually a tab for Messages
